Default Am I a sissy if I got manicure done?

I have some really bad callouses on my fingers - some are fairly old stuff from playing sports, etc. but the harshness of the callous is beginning to harm the clothing and bed sheets that I own. My wife said it's OK to get a manicure and get rid of it, my problem is I've always thought manicures were for women, not men.

Would I be a sissy if I got manicure done on my fingers?

No.

Close-up magicians do it all the time.

If it's for a good purpose, do it! If it's just for looking pretty, then yes, it's pretty effeminate.

Several studies have been done showing the positive effects of a manicure. A person forms their first opinion of you within a few seconds of meeting you, and many times those first few seconds include a handshake. If they see and feel that your hands and nails are well cared for, they start to assume other things about you (the halo effect). I mean, think about it- if you were getting ready to make a huge purchase for your company, would you feel as safe trusting your job to a supplier who has dirt under his nasty, chewed up finger nails?

YES it is quite fruity. Go to home depot, pick up some sand paper. If you really want to be manly, get a motorized one.

Getting a manicure = kind of sissy.

Giving a manicure = flaming.
