American flag for the car
I'm looking to get a few flags for a car. I'd prefer them to have a suction cup mounting, but am open to suggestion of other types of mounting (no antenna mounts please!). I found flags at www.carflag.com for $5 each with a mounting pole, but I was hoping for something a little less expensive for a car cruise. I need them quick too! Any suggestions?
The problem with the popular flags, at least in LA, is that they attach when you roll the window up. That doesn't work for us. Does anyone know who's selling the old suction cup type?
By the way, I tried attaching a flag with a wooden handle to my antenna with electrical tape. It didn't work -- at speed it bent down parallel tith the street and looked cockamamie.

I saw a guy in a convertible Mustang with one of those Laker flags that are similar to the US flag. He jammed it into his door somehow and turned the flag up.

The 3M ones sound good. At least they're not permanent. As for the ones with plain sticks, I don't like those, and I would not encourage people to tape them to their antenna unless they want to risk having their antenna bent even further. So far, the ones with the clips for the windows sounds like the best option. You can leave the window up slightly, and still mount the flag.
