The plain truth is that American's dominate any sport they care to.

With a country of 280 Million, you're just bound to produce a lot of great athletes.

I think the English are bitter because they invented most of those sports but aren't the best at them anymore.

And on another level of comparison, surfing a good wave is still the best sporting experience I've had, by far.

drogers,

BRAVO, you Sir, are a true Sportsman and a Gentleman.

It is unfortunate that true essence of Sports and Competition, is but a distant memory.

noone mentioned racing
Driving a car around a track as fast as possible, getting so close to the edge i feel my tires wanting to break loose, and then convincing them not to...
or going around a blind corner where you just have to KNOW that you will survive and trust yourself to do everything against human instincts to get to the other side without crashing...
Watching someone enter a turn too hot and then spin out not 20 feet in front of you then having to slam on your brakes and adjust your steering while turning at the limits, all without throwing your car off balance and spinning into him...

Out of all the sports i've tried, pushing the limits in my car is the only one that gives me a real thrill!!!

I take it that means that the "good 'ol US of A" don't care to dominate rugby, swimming, soccer, F1, rallying, marathon running.....

Or is it that you just don't talk so much about the sports that you can't dominate???

No, it's just that the citizens of the Land of the free and the home of the brave just don't know and don't care about those sports.
