Amsoil is awesome.

You really think this guy knew that his 'art' was going to be posted on the internet, and specifically on an automotive enthusiasts' forum? And even if he magically knew that it would be posted here on s2ki, don't you think that he would know that pretty much everyone in this thread had heard of Amsoil before this? Do you think anyone in this thread is going to buy Amsoil products because they'll draw a bunny on your box?
Seriously. It's a waste of time & money. Like I said, he could've been packaging up the next customer's shipment and maybe get one or two shipments out a day earlier. I don't really care because it doesn't affect me, I just wanted to point that out.
I'm not bothered that the OP requested a bunny on a box. I'm not bothered that the Amsoil employee actually fulfilled the request. I just think it would be stupid if every no-brain out there starts adding silly requests like this just to be funny and try to draw attention to themselves. Like I said, it's funny the first time, cumbersome the second.

LOL at this guy.
Try thinking outside the box. Maybe it will recruit new customers? Or, maybe it affected the mood of the person who received the request which will allow him/her to be more productive throughout the rest of the day.
The only part I agree with is that it will be lame if others copy the request. Kind of like when people wear out an Internet meme.

As far as the employee taking time to draw the bunny -- we all need a little time to "take our eyes off of our work". If we all worked from 7:00am to 6:00pm without stopping to get a drink of water or draw a rabbit then we would all go psychotic.
As far as the advertising -- this is good advertising. In fact, I'm going to go buy some Amsoil solely because of this thread... haha. Not really -- I have never used it before and don't intend to. That is unless Amsoil is watching this thread and wants to send me 6 quarts for free. If so my address is:
John Allen Design
13740 Hwy 183
Building J Office 2
Austin Texas 78750

Did the OP really expect AMSOIL to draw a bunny on the box? Fock no. But-I doubt seriously that the OP will buy oil from another source other than AMSOIL.
Less than 60 seconds of the company's time = a customer for life.

Creative? I thought of that community college line all on my own. I rock.
Sooo, how many business have started and run? Based on your website I'm going to go out on a limb and say none. http://www.marcus-taylor.com/ You're the guy who thinks he's really smart and comes on the internet to share his perceived smartness. I love the douchebag name calling. That's pretty original. Is that another example of your brilliance?
You're pretty good at telling people how to run businesses. What experience do you bring to the table that would validate your shallow advice. Have you packed boxes for a living? Have you done retail? Do you know anything about viral marketing. Do you understand how a silly little bunny drawing can make a customer feel like the business cares about them? It creates a sense of community between the business and customer. It's marketing/labor dollars well spent. The box packer gets a break from a mundane and often tedious job. The customer feels special because he did. He may crack wize with fellow box packers resulting in a positive and jolly workplace...even for a few minutes. Maybe they decide to always draw bunnies on boxes and the next thing you know, your company is famous for its bunny drawings. A non-thinking techno-geek such as yourself is the one actually confined to a box. You truly do lack creative thought. No bunny for you. Lesson over.
