Ankle/foot physical therapy
I am beginning a 4 week PT program on my ankle today. 3 days a week for 4 weeks. I have always had weak ankles, and I have built up A LOT of scar tissue. It is getting to the point now where it is causing knee pain.
Long story short, I am doing PT to strengthen the ankle a little more. And also to remove the scar tissue. Using a process called Active Release Technology. Its a soft tissue massage thing. They basically take this hard plastic squeegee looking thing and scrape the scar tissue away. No surgery, but it hurts like hell. But at this point, I'm willing to try anything.
Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this kind of stuff. PT, scar tissue removal, etc. He seems very optimistic that he'll be able to remove it and get me all fixed. Hopefully I'll be able to start running again after this.
