Default Another ghetto child abuse sighting

So I'm walking across Guadalupe st. in Austin, tx and even though there are tons of people talking, cars and several large buses going right past me, and there is motorcycle parking with guys starting up their bikes right next to me, I can already hear it.

The sad but percise noise of an old cadillac or buick with a ridiculous amount of base blowing the car apart from the trunk. The kind where the trunk rattles so bad it makes you shake your head as you can't recognize anything coherent besides punishing bass.

In the car, parked in a fire lane no less, sitting in the passenger seat was an overweight white girl with baby products in her lap, of course as she blows smoke out of the window from her cig.

As I walked past the car trying not to let the terrible bass [can't hear ANY lyrics] give me a headache for the next hour I notice something incredible.

In the back seat, there is a baby, maybe a year old, in one of those baby seats. The baby is screaming and going bezerk while coughing on mom's second hand smoke. I don't know if the baby was actually producing any sound since it was absolutely overwhelmed by the sub.

??!??!!?!!?!

Is this really fukd up or is it just me?

That's stupid. Whooops...now I'm in trouble.

People are ridiculous. I would've mentioned something to her and written down the license plate and called someone about them.

That's negligent abuse and could warrant a call to the police.

And you know that mother-of-the-year wouldn't hesitate to sue McDonald's for oversalting her daughter's McNuggets.

It didn't even hit me until I was about 20-30 feet from the car what I had just witnessed.

I said to myself".... was that really a f****** kid in the back seat of that bass machine?!?"

If I wasn't in a hurry and dumbfounded I probably would have at least said something to the "mom".

Not to categorize people or anything, but there are a good handle of Texans that aren't the brightest bunch of folks in the world. =) But then again, that could be said for a lot of different regions throughout the world.
