hey - IT'S BRITISH!
I hope the electical system holds up.
Seriously, It's really cool. I saw it at the NY auto show in April. I just worry that it will become some cute little "girl" car (sorry, ladies) like the vw bug.

I've always like the mini's (cars and skirts). I have the Test Drive game for my pc and with a code you can get a 450 hp mini. It blows away all of the other cars on the road courses. I think Car and Driver had an article about a big mini meet about a year ago. It sounds like there are a lot of old mini's on the road.

JRM,

If you liked the original "little" mini, you may be dissapointed with the new one. Saw some pics the other day that showed the old mini parked next the the new (see link below). HUGE difference in size. The new mini is about the size of a Civic. It actually looked from the pics like the old one could fit INSIDE the new one!

Hey VA S2K-

Does BMW offer tours of the Mini factory and/or European delivery? A friend took a trip to the Z3 factory in the Carolinas and BMW paid for his hotel stay. He's holding out for the S2000

I'm thinking hard about getting one of these also. There are no dealers in my area so that's a minor problem. Anybody know how long the waiting lists are and any dealers that wil sell for MSRP?

I couldn't find the MSRP, however, it does have an amazing 5.3 cu. ft. of cargo space.

I think the S2000 looks like a pickup truck when compared to that spec.

Still, it's a very interesting car!

back in about '67 or so cooper himself made a "twini mini"...a standard [tiny] body shell with two complete full on race drive trains-one front as per normal and one in the rear ...8 cyl,4wd,and as i recall about 100hp per engine....quite a rocket-till he rolled it up into a ball at 130+mph....cooper survived but gave up on the concept.
