Another reason automatic transmissions are great for daily drivers. . .
Most people agree that automatic transmissions are easier (aka mindless) to commute with in Urban areas (such NYC, Philly, DC, etc).
In addition to that, without my automatic Prelude Si I wouldn't be able to drive right now. I ruptured my left achilles tendon last week. . . No walking, sports, or driving of my S2K for at least 2 months to 3 months
Recently I've been thinking about replacing my automatic Si with the new Z in a manual or the G35 coupe in a manual. . . Now, I'm starting to think that having at least one car with an automatic tranny isn't such a bad idea. . .

I guess in that situation it could be useful. I'd have to trade cars with my dad if that ever happened! I couldn't stand driving a Ford Exploder Sport Trac for 3 months!
