My method is tested and works.

Drive to school, drive around until you find a spot. Pull in, put in park, go to class.
I'll add:

Get to class early.

Take a bus.

Walk.

Taxi.

Bum a ride off another person.

Not too long ago, when I was in college, the schools typically would give you a sticker and/or a hangtag that had to be displayed on your car. The sticker or hangtag were all the school used to verify if you were allowed to park there. They were typically simple to replicate. And imaging and printing technology is better now than when I was in school...

Then you can get your car impounded for having an unregistered/possibly abandoned vehicle on a public road.
Depends. If it's a private university, the roads are private, not public, right? Cops aren't ticketing you - it's university security guys. They can't enforce those laws.

Secondly, your registration is usually on your windshield (some have it on the plates only, I know). That is proof of registration there (or partial proof, at least).

Thirdly, for abandonment they usually have to show a passage of time - I believe that's why they sticker cars left on the highway (to show when it was first noticed).

Fourthly, it's very difficult to tow a car out of a parallel parking spot. You have to lift it straight up and most tow vehicles don't have that kind of a crane.

Actually if the parking lot is large enough it is considered a public way. For example the supermarkets public lot is public, even though it is owned by a single person. The size of the lot and it's public/private status varies by state law but I can garentee you that any universities lot is large enough to be public.

Second university police are licensed and sworn officers that have the exact same arrest powers as municiple or state police. And I didn't mean registered, I meant registered and plated. A car must not only be registered but also have its dmv assigned plate attached to be allowed to park on apublic way.

Your last two points are correct, however a towing company will find a way to get you out. They'll break in, drag your car sideways, they'll do what it takes.

print a parking pass, make one in photoshop exactly like the real one. I did that for 2 years. nobody really checks to see if your parking number is "valid" just that you have one.

Doesn't mean they use them for anything, save maybe inventory control at the parking office. I considered duplication at one point...didn't because it was nearly as convinient to go legal.

Lol ok, update..

Towing would be nearly impossible in the parkade, as my truck is lterally less than a foot away from the roof. Aswell, its a parkade, a flatdeck truck would be nearly impossible to get in there.

The boot, ah the boot. Im a mechanic, nothing a angle grinder cant fix.

Parking illegally, well, you know what, i would pay the full price, however they aboslutley refuse to give me a pass. Aswell, i easily replicated the pass, however they check the pass numbers when you leave the parkade, and have been doing so every dam day and having the guy ream me out lol. They leave me no viable option other than to park there as there is no where else to park.

Aswell, i got a legitmate pass for the next month. It will be interesteting to see what pans out from here too see if they lay off(it gets dam cold soon here)

You can make it impossible for them to tow the car without damage... but I don't think you want to force their hand by doing that. I've seen cars towed in gear with the ebrake on... tires locked and grinding away as the car was going down the road.

You can park facing in, leave the car in 1st with the ebrake up, crank the wheel ALL the way to one side and then lock it. An alarm would also help.

I like the idea of duplicating the parking pass. SOMEONE at your school must drive an S2000. Find them and copy their pass number, so the pass will match the car.
