i break every now and then. i can't do much, just some props, footwork and an occasional crab and turtle. i wish i could do more. one day ill get on the ball and learn some good moves.

oh, definitely... I remember being in elementary school (3rd or 4th grade, ~1983) when this all started. Back then, it was wild and new, and everyone was into it, especially with Run DMC being so popular and couple of break dancing movies that came out (Beat Street, Breakin', etc.). Then it disappeared for a while and then during the mid-90's it came back in full force, with some subtle updated and modern influences. It's still very popular now, especially with that movie "You Got Served".

 

raving and breaking are not the same thing. it's still considered a pretty bad insult too...

hell yeah. i used to pop, still do sometimes. i think where theres people breaking there has to be someone popin and when you pop its all about style no powermoves involved. the ability to be different is a deffinte plus witht he females.

i was into power moves... used to do it like 4 years ago.... popping got the girls.. but so did the windmills to flares to air flares !
