How can my friend (serious!) get rid of a big boil on his butt? - and quickly?

I have one on my side. I went to the ER the other day. I would recommend some antibiotics. I would avoid lancing it. I took baths for about 20-80 minutes 4 times a day until it erupted then took them for all the pus to drain. After that I just tried to keep it clean and dry. Cleaned with hydrogenperoxide. My hurts like hell. I hope it doesn't scare up bad. Usually ones in the buttock aren't as bad as ones on other areas of the body and often don't get to big or cause as much pain.
