Default Any grilling or (food) smoking experts here?

I am looking to purchase a smoker for ribs, brisket, fish, etc. I can smoke foods pretty well in the Weber I have, but its time for a dedicated smoker. I am looking to spend under $200, and it looks like electric is the way to go --- any suggestions of brand or anything else would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Lowes and or Home Depot also carry a smoker with a firebox on the side.

My roommate actually built one using an aluminum drum from home depot pretty cheap and an electric burner unit he bought at target for less than $15. I'm not sure what else was involved, but if you're interested in building one yourself, I can find out for you.

Thanks s2ko... Do you use one of these units? The Cookshack ones look pretty high-end...

Thanks mns2k- This thing looks great - is it big enough to cook a good sized turkey? Is it natural gas or propane? and does it say its also a fryer? Can you fry a turkey in it? - that would be huge!
Thanks again!

If I built it myself I'd probably burn my house down - One of the best turkeys I have eaten was made in a smoker made from a dumpster that could smoke 14 turkeys at once - Yum!

I've only used the New Braunfels Smoker and was pleased with the results. A friend of mine has the Cookshack one and swears by it. I haven't sampled his results however so I can't comment on it. I also have friends that have a Brinkman smoker, but not the all in one, and they seem to like it.
