Any other CFA charterholders in here?

I averaged over 80 a hours a week for nearly 20 years. It took a toll on my health and I'm not sure I would do it again. My wife has been working that kind of hours for several years also and she's really starting to want more time for herself and family.

Anything over about 65 to 70 hours per week is just too much long term but I don't understand people who bitch about working 40 hour weeks.

I've been around many people that "worked" 80-90 hours a week. i think they just liked being at work. I could have done their job in under 30. Most workaholics I find spin their wheels all day

I currently work 20-25 a week and it's too much.

If I did what I loved I wouldn't measure it in hours.

I work 40 hours, but its not bad it's just too much. Too much wasted time. I finished all of my work yesterday and now I'm waiting for a shipment to come in. Its not always like this, most days its pretty busy, and I don't mind what I do.

I was thinking about a part time job in addition to my full time one...then I came to my senses.

BTW is there books to read different than the SCHERER and the STALLA? I asume this are like the KAPLAN books for GMAT studients

Thanks
I suspect that you mean "Schweser", not "Scherer".

Schweser is owned by Kaplan. The review courses I teach use the Schweser notes, but I've heard from a few people that they like Stalla's notes better.

I used Schweser's notes when I was studying for the exams, and I passed each the first time. I don't know whether that says something about the notes, about my study habits, about my test-taking ability, or about nothing at all.
