any PHYSICS GURU here? - I have vector problem...

Given:
V1 8.08 units at negative x axis
v2 4.51 units at 45 degree positve axis

I know the formula is:
Vy = Vcos(degree) = 4.51(cos45) = 3.12
Vx = Vcos(degree) = 8.08 (sin?) = ??

How am i suppose to find components of Vy without degree given?

Help me

Whilst I'm not a physics guru, I do have a couple of degrees in math. You have "V1 8.08 units at negative x axis"; it seems to me that the angle would be 180 degrees measured counterclockwise from the positive x-axis.

That's what i was thinking:
180-45= 135

It's not entirely clear to me what exactly you're looking for, but on the assumption you want the x and y components of each vector:

Vx1 = V1cos(theta) = 8.08cos(180) = 8.08
Vy1 = V1sin(theta) = 8.08sin(180) = 0

Vx2 = V2 cos(theta) = 4.51cos(45)
Vy2 = V2 sin(theta) = 4.51sin(45)
