Riding top-down in a roadster is a kind of 1950s thing, so I usually load a CD with oldies music before heading off.

Anybody else here collect old blues, R & B, Doo-Wop, and rock and roll from the fifties (also late 40s and early 60s)?

This oldie (53) likes the music, but I don't collect much of it. Have you downloaded much from Napster?

I do. In fact, I have an Elvis CD that I play occationally. Of course, I always have to fall back on Old Rock.

As a mid 40s owner I listen (and drive) to music of all types from the 40s through to the 00s. However, 50s music I definitely avoid - that was one decade that was sadly lacking in musical taste and sophistication.

It's not.

Palmateer is talking about FIFTIES music.

Please dbw, I just turned 40 which was traumatic enough without now reading that SIXTIES music is old!
