any s2k owners have e46 m3....
??. im thinking of getting an m3 and wondering how much you paid for the car and where. here in socal, dealers seems to be charging $5k over msrp. i dont mind buying at list but 5k over sounds pretty excessive.

deposit since 6/00, waited for a SMG M3 which is arriving 12/01 @ MSRP.
Some Bay Area dealers are charging $10k or more. $5k is the standard... I've got a 2nd SMGII M3 slated to be built in December for a nominal fee.

If you don't mind waiting 3yrs then you can get one for MSRP at Dreyer & Reinbold BMW in Indianapolis. They never charge over MSRP on any cars, they just create huge waiting list on the cars, and you had better hope you're at top of the list.
