i dont know chit about snowboards, i just rent em when i go snowboarding. but i'm wanting to get into it more and found some dude selling this:


Burton Seven 2002~2003 158
Salomon F 2002~2003 270mm
Salomon SPX Carbon

he was saying something about ground tricks?? i just want a basic set, i suck anyway. the boots fit me well. is thsi a decent setup? how much were they new? he says he bought the set in japan and paid $1350 new. asking $230

go on craigslist and you can find much better boards for around the same price. with bindings and other stuff too.

$230 sounds too much to be paying for 4-5 year old gear. shop around some more.

is this dude your friend. hell, i would just give away my 5 year old setup if i kept the boards that long.

You can find good deals anywhere, you just have to be willing to search. It depends on your height on what size board you're going to want. Generally speaking, you want the board to come up just a tad shorter than your chin (at least this is what I was told when I first got my snowboard). For example, I'm 6'0" and I ride a 157cm board. You can find some good deals at some sporting goods store for a complete setup (i.e. boots, board, bindings). Just remember that when you buy your gear, comfort is the first factor. Name brands may look nice, but if its not comfortable, you're not going to be a happy camper.
