i hated mac's at first too, but after being in and now out of school....as a designer...all i can say is Panther owns any windows program.

I don't agree 100% but close.
The funny thing is I am a Windows developer. I have written a good 2 million + lines of windows code.... but can't wait to start developing for Linux/OS10!!!

VPC runs fine and smooth if you set it up properly. hwo much ram have to allocated to it? i can run pretty intensive stuff, like final fantasy online with no problems.

After working w/ VPC this afternoon & getting some suggestions from forum members, I was able to finally get it working (oh god - I hope I don't jinx myself). I haven't tried running the geometry program yet, but will do so shortly.

I just installed VPC on my new Powerbook (1 gig of RAM) and it works fine albeit slow for my Windoze needs

I'm using it here too with no problems.

Although, I'd recommend using Windows 2000 instead of XP - simply because it's not as resource hungry.

I'm a web developer, I do EVERYTHING with my Mac. I don't want to keep a PC around just for proofing projects - VirtualPC works fantastic for my needs.
