Finally got the yearly vacation planned out, gonna be going with the girlfriend to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in the begining of June, staying at the Riu Bambu.

I was looking around online, and saw the tours they offered. Anyone have an suggestions on which ones might be interesting? Which ones to avoid. Any other tips for the trip in general would be greatly appreciated as well.

I was there last summer....we went horse back riding on the beach at sunset (very nice), the speed boat tour (mini "james bond style" speed boats you get to take up the coast and then go snorkling.....very very nice)...para sailing (kind of boring)...and a day at the spa........are you taking an Apple Vacation, how many apple is the hotel you are at?

 

I'm actually going with a Vacation Express package. Hotel is supposed to be Superior.

How much did the day at the spa run?

 

it was only like $70 bucks for a package ....and they even gave us buy one package get one free (for my fiance)
...your hotel should be nice

 

Be very careful what you eat and watch out for the guys stamping your visa at the airport. They tried to get extra money out of some of the people my wife went down there with. They didn't know that most of my wife's party spoke spanish and listened to them plan the scam before hitting them up for it.
