Anyone believe in being friends first before dating someone?
My wife and I where friends for some time before we started dating. She met several of the girls I was going out with and I met guys she was going out with. We did non-date type things together and found that we had a lot in common and pretty much became best friends. At some point we decided to become more than friends. We dated for a couple of years and them got married. We've been married almost 26 years. So yeah, in my opinion it can certainly work. I sure wouldn't want to get serious about someone I wasn't friends with.
On the other hand, if you are in the "friend zone" date other people or you will never get out of it.

So lemme guess, this girl is leading you on but says she wants to be friends until she makes up her mind??
Translation: This is womaneese for; you will never get in my pants, im giving it to someone else who isnt very interested in me so you can be my cuddle buddy till he shows up.
If they dont put out after the third date, chances are they never will and you are in the friend zone.

I agree lol
Friend is okay, but not best friend lol, I ended up sleeping with my best friend and things ended up awkward cause she was in a relationship and we never talked again lol. Never crossed my mind that I will ever be in a relationship with her though
