Anyone a Cop?
if you have a college degree consider CHP. if you have a graduate or post graduate in computers, accounting, law, etc. consider the FBI. if you speak multiple languages and are just as well educated for the FBI job, try the CIA.
i tried the CIA but they said "don't call us, we'll call you"
the FBI is not interested.
and i didn't want to look at billboards all the time.
so now i sell shredders, laminators, letter folding machines, and electric hole punch machines

CHP = California Highway Patrol.
But that's in CA.
If you want to be really useful, try going to the military first. Marines or try out for Ranger school. This will give you the "performance" edge over most applicants for the FBI and even the CIA if you can prove you can speak certain languages such as Arabic and Farsi. To my knowledge, Farsi and Arabic are the two most wanted languages for the CIA right now. And plus, with your knowledge and brain power coupled with your military training, you'll be wanted.
Even with military background and even a criminal science/criminal psychology degree, you'll be a looker within the applicants for the FBI.
And with the military background, you'll be more experienced than most police officers or police recruits. This will give you the edge.
Don't count on my word but rather look into this on various websites. Research and find out the various requirements of each job. The FBI is vast and holds many departments as well as the CIA but I'm scared to even find out what goes on behind the tall marble walls at the CIA headquarters. Do your homework before jumping into something like this because I did and I'm second guessing it.

i thought that it was frowned upon to drink all the time and get high as often as possible if you were a cop..... why would you do that?
seriously though... i've always thought of that as a sort of dead end road to go down. be an EMT or a firefighter instead. its far more interesting than writing tickets and harassing kids for doing things i dont truly think are wrong. granted you'll find some real criminals, but mostly you're just enforcing rules that you probably dont truly believe in.
maybe i'm mistaken and giving you more credit than you deserve but if you're here asking questions I assume you're a fairly smart individual capable of independent thought....hardly cop material.

I had thought of being a fire fighter, but my mom said no. I know i'm 20 and my mom doesn't run my life but I will listen to her here. Her only reason for that is my dad was killed in a fire when I was young and she doesn't want to see the same happen to me. I really should look into CIA/FBI. I am taking some criminal law classes in school now so I think that helps a little. Also I will be talking to my friends dad this weekend who is the head sniper for the SD SWAT. Anyways, any others with real life experience in these fields?
