We've settled on going on a vacation and it's going to be attending Miss Universe 2008 in Nha Trang, VN, and swinging by Beijing for some Olympics fun. Anyone else going to either of those?

What are the chances we'll be able to buy tickets for the Olympic events at the last minute? Will they be super expensive? Worst case, we'll just enjoy Beijing and see the games on big screens in stadiums or bars. Also, which airline offers the most inexpensive airfair for going to Asia?

Anyone wants me to bring back a Miss ----? We'll be doing all sorts of fun stuff in Nha Trang's tropical place and white-sand beaches, such as parasailing, scuba diving, etc., all the while watching beautiful pageants duking it out.

 

have you gotten your visa for china yet? i heard they were hard as hell to get now?

cheapest airfare can be found on those airline search engine sites...but my only recommendation is to not fly an american-based airline (united, aa, northwest, etc). most international-based airlines have newer planes and even in economy you'll get a more comfortable seat with a digital, on-demand entertainment system. and hot, young female flight attendants. united sucks!
