anyone ever attended live tennis matches?
i went to the US Open back when Ivan Lendel and Stephan Edberg were still playing..... i think it was 1990...sampras won for the first year.
anyway.... we could go from stadium to stadium to watch...i am pretty sure we were mostly behind the baselines.... you could see everything without moving your head all the time.

I've been to the US Open and the Hamlet Cup (a US Open warmup). If you want to watch the match and see it sort of like its shown on TV, up high and behind the baseline is the place to be. If you're sitting up close, you may want to sit on the sidline. That way you can see the groundstrokes on both sides. If you're up close and behind the baseline, your line of sight will be blocked by the net, the player, the ballboys, etc. I'm not sure how big the stadium is for the SAP Open, but this advice is for large stadiums. Smaller venues make it easier to sit anywhere and still have a good view.
