anyone ever encounter with ghost??
are these really "ghosts" are impressions?
People say "ghosts" aren't really "ghosts" as society believes them to me. Rather, they are memories of the past that are imbedded into that environment because they have been there for so long.
I believe there was a talk about this on TLC or Discovery Channel. I think they were saying how people give off a certain energy so it accumulates in the surroundings that the person have been in most of their lives (which could explain hauntings of particular households) and also if a tragic event(death, murder) then an extreme amount of negative energy would be released so that you think its a "ghost" haunting a particular room or area.

This is known as catalepsy and used to happen to me all the time (like every single night for about 3 years from age 18 to 21 and often 4-5 times a night). If this is happening to you (and others) on a particular couch it is most likely due to the shape and firmness of the couch affecting pressure points in the body. Nothing at all to do with the supernatural. Let's get real here guys, think about it logically, why on earth should a supposedly dead individual want to go around haunting a particular location?
The again, I suppose you're all church goers.

But I felt a "presence" forcing a paralysis over my body. I couldn't open my eyes and talk, move my body or anything. It was actually pretty terrifying. Must have been this catalepsy thing. Interesting. (I wasn't "stuck" in a dream or anything, the whole thing was very unique and has only happened once in my life, but it was goddamn weird).
Don't mean to hijack this thread, but it's along the same lines...
Has anyone had their "fortune" told by a "psychic"? I'm not talking about the psychic phone line, or a local gypsy at a fair. I mean from someone who doesn't advertise and stuff.
Well, my mom had hears told about 10 years ago and it was all recorded on tape. I gotta be honest... it made me a COMPLETE beleiver. She told my mom things about her life that were 100% true (and it wasn't like the local horoscope readings where anything could be true if put in the proper context). She couldn't give my mom exact locations or anything. It was pretty amazing the stuff she got right (for instance, she told my mom that the oldest would start smoking but would eventually quit. I'm the oldest and started smoking about two years after the tape was made, and I didn't hear the tape until a couple of years ago). She also did get a few things completely wrong, but with the amount of detailed predictions that came true....
Makes you wonder.

This "couch incident" has happened to me somewhat often ever since I posted about it. During the past few months it happened on the same couch, and now occuring when I sleep in my bedroom. I often just ignore it, but every time it happened, it seemed like I was "stuck" in a dream thing. It's just plain wierd.
You guys are scarying the $hit out of me right now LOL
Why do I end up reading ths thread during the night
