anyone ever encounter with ghost??
Hey whats up people! I haven't read the entire thread (too lazy) but since I LIVE in Walnut, I can also say that there is something up with my house. I have too many stories to tell, but a few happened directly to me. I tell one... in my house, the downstairs bedroom is used as the office room. The office has a couch which I use to often sleep on. One time when I was taking a nap on that couch, I would sense a presense near me, which I thought was my sister. Keep in mind that my eyes were closed. Since I thought it was my sister, I just continued to rest, ignoring the presense. Well, it all of a sudden felt like the presense went and touched me, and I became frozen for about 3-5 seconds! For those few seconds, I tried opening my eyes and moving, but I couldn't! I even tried screaming for my mom (haha go ahead laugh at that) and after that, I got up and decided never again to sleep on that couch. I told my mom about this, and she wasn't suprised. Up to this point I still haven't, and I've been too paranoid about sleeping ever since. Funny thing is, it happened to my mom on the same couch (she told me) a few months later. She said she couldn't move for like 10 minutes! And one more thing, my mom told me it happened to my Uncle when he spent the night at my place like a few months ago! Creepy!

My turn...Although I have never seen a ghost or experienced anything too out of the ordinary I'm very fascinated by unexplained phenomenon whether it be UFOs, ghosts, or whatever...Anyways, I've told this ghost story where my uncle and cousin saw a ghost at their house before, but for those who missed it...
Well, I have a little ghost story for you guys. True story...
My cousin, who is now 27, and my uncle saw a ghost in their old house in San Marcos, Texas. My cousin David was like 6 or 7 at the time. Anyways, their house was haunted and they were always hearing noises and weird occurrences would happen inside and outside of the house. My uncle told me the story and I later asked my cousin and he confirmed it. ANYWAYS, little David was upstairs in a den, as I guess you would call it, playing with an electric train set. (My uncle was into trains). My uncle was the only other one in the room with him. My uncle is just looking at David and then in the corner of his eye he saw a small, dark, almost cloud like figure come through a doorway (the door was open) right next to David. The way he explained it was like, "You know those few times in your life when you may be focused on something and you barely see something in your peripheral (spelling) vision and possibly hesitate, look, and nothing is there? Well, I happen to see it." It was about the size of a small child, 4 feet (he said), and moved from the doorway past David and then just disappeared. He (my uncle) apparently wasn't scared at all. He decided to take advantage of this situation to see if he actually saw this dark thing. He calmly asked his son, "David, did you just see anything strange in the room?" David replied, "I saw a dark thing." My uncle asked him to describe it and he said it was "this tall" (about four feet tall) and dark, just like my uncle had described it. Pretty, freaky, huh?
Another story that goes with that one.
They finally decided to sell the house, because of the (pissed ghost) always making noise (like on the roof, opening closing doors, cabinets and what not). They had already moved out and an older lady was supposed to come stay at the house with her two sons, (one of whom was the star senior quarterback at a small college) ((sorry, don't know where)). Anyways, he was the first one out of the house that night, followed by his brother and mother. They were so scared. Obviously, they had trouble selling the house, but they finally sold it.
I remember walking by the house, which is just down the road from where they live now, when I was like 14 and it was so scary looking!
I'm scared now just recalling these stories....AHH!!
blakers

I have a pretty freaky Ouija board story...true but very depressing for me and my friends :
My friend, let's call her "Jane", was hanging out with some of my other friends at her house. One of the guys brought over a Ouija board because they claimed that out of the three, nobody had ever used one. So they decided to try. They didn't think nothing of it as they played and Jane decided to be kind of playful and she asked, "When am I going to die?" After asking the question, she quickly thought twice and said that she didnt want to find out. So she turned around while the other two guys kept on going. The piece moved towards the numbers and finally landed on...............18. She was 16 at the time. Both of the guys looked at each other, baffled and scared. Jane turned around and asked them, "Well?" They replied, "Oh..it's nothing. It said seventy something."
A couple years later, Jane and two of her girlfriends went skydiving. As they were coming back, tragedy struck and Jane crashed her car into a tree on the way back. Only Jane did not survive. The reason why the girls went skydiving was because.....it was Jane's 18th birthday.

It is in the Bible not to have anything to do with the spirit world, instead to address all your concerns in prayer to God.
I have lived by this ( I hasten to add I have not lived by All the Commandments all of the time) and so can add no story of my own.
I have heard stuff secondhand OK, but that won't help anyone believe anything, hearing third hand stories. But it's different when someone you know and trust tells you a story.
I would prefer to believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God and giver of eternal life than mess with spirits.
Andy Pandy remember Shakespeare's quote "the are more things in heaven and earth Horatio than are dreamt of in your philosophy"
I am a mechanical engineer by profession so am supposed to be a practical realist. Realistically, the athiests of this world stretch my credulity a lot more than some spiritual teachings.
