Default anyone ever feel guilty for not working very hard?

My current job is all about financial reporting and i am in charge of the Accounts Payable and Payroll people.......boring, but... I am the only guy here that does it....in the middle of the month (now) i have a fair amount of screwoff time...... I get paid a good bit more than our average factory guy and they work way way way harder than me (although there are a few people who get paid more than me that don't really do any work.....sooo...)...

I had my share of crap jobs...making pizza's, bagging groceries, painting houses, removing asbestos (no one told me back then that it was bad for you....hell, we didn't even wear masks...), etc......... so I have *worked*, but now I just don't work very hard.

sometimes I feel like a dick knowing that I get paid $ and they sweat their balls off in the heat in our factory.....

I've had my share of crap jobs in the past. My first job was janitorial at a local arcade..(first day of working I had to clean the bathroom where someone had an accident all over the wall) and others that followed were no better. The current job I'm doing is both architectural design and project engineering at an engineering firm. Alot of fellow engineers in the office are working to get a project done this week (some stay until midnight) where I am lucky enough to go home at 5 almost everyday. When I'm busy, they are sitting around fiddling their thumbs but almost 80% of the time they are busier than I am. What am I to do? I just sit back and surf the net. That's what!

You have a skilled job. If people with unskilled jobs want to make more/work less I suggest they learn a skill. Simple as that.

when people (mostly the office clerk type people) bitch about all the cars I have.... I usually (semi jokingly) say... "i didn't tell you not to go to college or buy a bunch of rental properties... I worked for what I have"

remember those old bumper stickers... "if you think education is expensive, try ignorance"...

Ok...now I feel much better about my slacking

I used to slack off all the time as a car salesman, and still made $40K a year, now I work my ass off for $60K a year and think I should be getting paid MORE to do LESS, it's the name of the game dude.

From what i heard and experienced, the more important the job, the more you get paid, the less it seems you are working.

CEO's, they get paid millions, but they look like they are doing jack SH!T.

not that many people can be a CEO

McDonalds worker. everyone can do what they do. get paid pennies...

I sometimes feel bad too. i get paid pretty well, compared to my friends and when i tell them how little i work, i sometimes feel bad cause i think i am a slacker.

eh...as long as my work gets done, i'll goof off all day long and not feel guilty. I went to college for a reason, to not work my ass off doing manual labor.
