Default anyone fly on an airplane recently?

I need to know what the limit for carry on is? I have a 21" inch carry on thing, and I also bought this "suit holder" I mean if you buy a suit at bon macis or something your suit is packed up in that suit cover. This thign I bought is liek a suit cover exewcpt it folds in half and turns into a verry skinny and thin.

anyone know what the limit is on an airline or what they brought?

thanks!

those two you mentioned are too "big" to carry on the plane these days. normally just one bag and one smaller bag about the size of the laptop case. prepare to check in one when you check in.

Check the airline's web pages for exact size limits.

most of the times i've had a suit cover, it doesn't count as a carry-on. they have a separate cabinet closet to hang you suit in as you onto the plane. just don't forget to pick your suit up as you leave the plane.

You will be able to bring both on-board. The 21" carry-on is within guideline for most airlines and the suit-bag is a non-issue. However, don't have a briefcase/computer case or you'll set off the gate agents 'baggage alarm'.

Worst case if you get stuck on a small regional jet is you can leave your carry-on bag on the jetway and the airline will have it back to you as you leave the airplane upon arrival.

I'm pretty sure that you can carry two items on a plane. The sizing though, not really sure but I always go by if it can fit in the overhead compartments. Hasn't failed me yet.

As a former flight attendant (wife is still one), most airlines limit you to one carry-on bag and one personal item. For example, if you have a roller suitcase and a briefcase, that'd be it. However, for the most part - they usually don't mind if you bring a garment bag, and will hang it up or lay it flat in the overhead for you. But sometimes it depends on the particular boarding agent/flight attendant and if they are stuck-up buttholes about it.

Worse case scenario, take your garment bag and if your laptop (if you have one) with you onboard and gate check the roller bag if they make you gate check one of the items. When gate checking, it doesn't hurt to ask the agent or flight attendant to tag it so it comes right back up to the jetway upon arrival rather than down to baggage claim.

Last time I flew was in November 2005. No bags over 50lbs IIRC and only one carry on item. I flew United.

I don't know about all airlines but 24 inches is the cutoff for most of the big ones.

At least that is what the fiance told me and she flies about 3 times a month for business.
