Default anyone Fly R/C Helis

Title says it all.
Ordered a Lama to buzz around the living room. Trying to get the basics down so I can eventually move up to a t-rex

Ive built and flown helis for about 4 years and planes for 10+. Sounds like a good start. The best advice is stick time and more stick time. All the Trex's fly amazing!! Congrats on a new addicting hobby!

I bought a T-rex 450 se V2 and have not flown it yet... Still need servos and gyro. I was actually told its actually easier to learn on a better heli like this due to its so stable and reacts to exactly what you do, Not like other lower end heli's that you need to compensate for its mech. mistakes.. Now not sure if that makes any sense but it looks like a sick heli lol

The 450 is an amazing heli. I used to work at a local hobby shop and built over 45 of them! If you are still looking for servos I would recommend HS 65mg's. The metal gears hold up very well in crashes. As for a gyro the Futaba 401 with a matching digital servo holds very well. The 9650 is a very popular choice. I used to run the 3154 but it is small and torque is limited. Have fun!

I got the RealFlight sim when I was learning because I was destroying too many rotor blades. It helped a lot.

Love em. i'm a helicopter mechanic by trade so it's obvious i like them. i have a blade cp, blade400,md500rapter50,and a eurocopteras355 rapter50. i want a turbine so bad i can standit , but 10,000$ is little pricey! glad to see other S owners enjoy these machines. happy hovering.

I have flown a Trex 450 clone off and on for about 2 years. Have had RC Airplanes from the Plantranco Butterfly to a 3meter hotliner.

Since I'm out of work, I got back to the heli and ordered a couple batteries, took the training legs off and can hover through the whole pack!
