anyone Fly R/C Helis
I'm thinking about ordering a Quark. I hear they're well made, easy to fly, and not too bad to fix when they crash. Seems like a fun toy to putz around with.
I'm an engineer and worked some on helicopters, so they're pretty interesting to me

I've been flying heli's for about 5 years now, but have been flying airplanes for a little over 12. With heli's I started out with a Blade CP that my parents bought me for Christmas. Keep in mind that I had been flying airplanes for a long time, but that I had never flown a heli. I took it outside, hovered a pack out. Re-charged it, and took it into foward flight. About a year later, I bought myself a Raptor 50 with a hot motor, all aluminum anodized head, carbon blades, etc. I'm now doing 3D with both the raptor and the blade. I can hover the blade inverted in my living room lol. It's a pretty cool little heli, especially for the money, but it not having a gyro kills it. With planes, I started when I was 7, flying a Cessna trainer. I have moved up during the years, advancing into 3D as well. I have had many many planes over the years. I've had two 27% planes with gas engines, and currently have a 33% Extra 330S with a BME 100. I fly some electric, too. A few years ago, I was on my way to becoming sponsored when I became to overcome with school/work to continue flying. I fly every once in a while now, but not every day like I used to.
Good to see an R/C section on a car forum
I also run on-road cars,off road-trucks/buggies, R/C boats, etc.
Best wishes to all! Have fun flying those heli's!
