Default Anyone go to ITT Tech?

I've been thinking of going back to school for an associates degree in IT. ITT Technical Institute is one of the local schools offering courses. Has anyone gone to ITT Tech or offer any advice?

Good luck with job stability and get use to the words LAYOFFS and Temp Agencies but then again you might be one of the lucky ones

I take that back, this only applies if you live in California

If you wanna learn for knowledge, it's great place, because I've heard it's hands-on. If you want a degree for job or whatever, it's not such a great place because it's not an accredited univ.

In order to get a job these days it seems you need to have all your certs, MCSE, CCNA, Unix, SQL, A+, Network + etc. and some software programming. It sure was nice when you just needed one area of certs

These days, most community college offer 'career certificates' along with associates degrees. I think if you do both, you're already just as good as an ITT tech graduate. Most colleges even have courses that will prep you for other certs (MCSE, CCNA, A+, etc). I had an employee that graduated from ITT tech, and he was pretty good. The great thing about a place like that is they teach them how businesses work, and the proper etiquette for the workplace, interview skills, etc...you won't get that at a community college. As far as IT knowledge, he was about on par with the noob's that had just received their certifications.
