) about 3 days ago and I found a kernel in there. I brush 2-3 times a day but it was behind the rearmost tooth, between the gum. Disgusting, but a relief. Now we'll see if it becomes less tender. It's not a big deal, not impeding eating or gross or discolored or anything, just very slightly swollen compared to the other side, but in your mouth you can feel everything like it's monumental.

You can get the dentist to make you a mouth guard or buy a football mouth guard from Target for $2 and cut enough off of it to make it comfortable while you sleep. Slice one down so its comfortable but not small enough that you could swallow. Heat and fit. Presto. My dentist wanted several hundred for a custom.
