Anyone have a deposit on EVO VII?
I am officially the first person on the list at our local Mitsubishi dealer at MSRP.
I am only buying if it is 250 or more hp and cost is under $30k
I am sure that car will be more fun than my Typhoon.... (looks over shoulder for woman)....Hopefully i can actually make some $ and keep all of the cars.

Didn't you guys put down $ on the S2000 long long long before it came out? I did... i put $500 down 18 months before it came out.... it is refundable, so the only loss is the 1% that i would have earned in my savings account.
I am ***speculating*** this car running mid 13's, awd and hauling my kids around....
We all speculated about the S2000 before it came out so I will do the same with this beast.
I am #1 on the list, so they haven't been taking too many deposits.

The car is coming in early 2003. Mitsubishi made the announcement at the LA Auto show on Jan 4, 2002.
Its supposed to have "around" 250 hp and cost "around" $30k.
Scot: Curious why you're not gonna get the new Mazda RX-8?

I like being able to drive in the winter... i would imagine the RX8 to not so so well....plus it is 3000lbs with only 162lb feet of torque.. vs the turbo torque.... the RX8 does look pretty damned nice though... if i could just get a truckload of $ somewhere....

I agree about the benefits of AWD. The only thing that concerns me is the reliability of the EVO.
We'll see though...
Did you not find a white/red S2000?

Andrew,
I keep on trying to find a "deal" on any S2000.... at this point i don't even care what color.... i missed a local 10k miles white / red for $24,900!
I just want to find a decent deal so that I know I can bail out if i need to. I am still looking.... debating about a Hybrid civic with a Type R engine.... (kid hauling and track beast)..... I hate looking like a punk kid, but would rather not wreck a $25k S2000 at the track vs a $10k hybrid.
