Default Anyone have a Mamiya 645???

I'm thinking of making a jump to medium format. People have been telling me Mamiya cameras are the way to go. I want to start off without paying more than $1500 to get started. I basically want pleanty of bang-for-the-buck. Any suggestions or recommendations would be helpful.

Thanks,

Sam

I'll bet 99% of the readers of this board don't know what a "Mamiya 645" is

If you are going medium format, there are a couple of choices besides Mamiya. Top of the line is obviously Hasselblad. Then there is the Rolli and Bronica. Followed by the Pentax and Mamiya.

Here is a link to the Medium Format Articles Page Good luck.

Actually I have a Mamiya 645. Got it in 1990.
Nice camera but very pricey. Don't use it that much anymore. Be sure you really want to invest that much money.

Consider getting a 10mega pixel SLR digital camera. The resolution is quite good. Less expensive also.

I could have posted useful information here, but I bought a 501C instead. Doh!
