Yea, the best thing I can suggest is a kart racing course. I took one and it helped me tremendously.

+1 on take a class. I took a 2-day course in a KT100 and quickly decided racing those was not for me. Was a bunch of fun though. 60-odd MPH an inch off the ground sure feels fast!
