I've been thinking about putting together a non-fiction book (sorry, not S2000 related) for awhile now, and am thinking more seriously now. Does anyone know a publisher that might be willing to talk with me? I'd love to learn alittle more about the process from the business side of things.

Hmm, well do you have any credentials??

 

it's a 'science-related' book, and i am a scientist... am surrounded by scientists everyday, am friends with more scientists, have friends whose friends are scientists ... wait a minute -- i need some cooler friends. yadda yadda.

i think this qualifies as credentials ... but again, i'm not 100% sure of the business side of things. for instance, a couple of my friends have suggested i write the sucker, then contact publishers... others have said i should get the advice of a publisher first, then write with those suggestions in mind.

bottom line ... everyone who has gotten the guided tour of my book plan has been thoroughly supportive ... i'm a clever guy, and i think it would appeal to a wide range of readers.
