anyone know of skiing trip deals?
Hey, I posed this locally but didnt get too many responses and im trying to pick a place within the next week. I am trying to get some friends together this winter break and go snowboarding/skiing. just wondering if anyone has any tips or knows of any deals on rooms, lift tickets, or equipment rentals? I guess somewhere in Colorado, but anywhere really, I dont know too much as I have only been twice kind of. Thanks,

Go to Salt Lake City and rent a car. You can drive to 7-10 fantastic ski resorts within 45 minutes and should be able to get cheap rates in Salt Lake opposed to staying in Park City (where I went to high school). SLC has a pretty decent night life and a whole lot of beautiful blonde women.
You can get discount lift tickets here: http://www.canyonsports.com
Park City Mountain Resort - A lot of high speed lifts but a lot of families.
The Canyons - Great terrain and a lot of it
Deer Valley - Skiers only & amazing food on the mountain
Snowbird - Kick ass terrain & gobs of snow
Alta (skiers only) - No snowboarders
Solitude
Brighton

Salt Lake City is definitely the way to go... its got the best snow in the world... If you don't like big crowds, I would stick to Brighton and Solitude (Solitude being the emptiest imho)
I pretty much moved to SLC for snowboarding
And, yeah, SLC has a good nightlife, and I'm getting married to one of those beautiful blonde women in 2 months

You can also get a Snowbird/Alta pass or a Brighton/Solitude pass (they are right next to each other) note: Alta & Deer Valley are ski only as SkiBum stated... it doesn't keep us riders off the mountain though
You can stay in a hotel in SLC to save money if you'd like, the city has an amazing ski bus system that can take you straight from hotels to the resorts.
SLC chicks are underrated hot.
Im a bit biased since I lived in Utah for 13 years but it definitely does have the best snow on earth. Its also nice when you can go from the rental car lot to the ski lift in less than 1 hr. No 3 hour drive to the mountain like Denver. If youre a skier make sure you goto Deer Valley. Hands down the nicest resort in america.
