I have a traxxas rustler stadium racer. one of my neighbors has the big nitro traxxas monster truck with the 2 speed tranny..... it is so damned fast that he cannot control it... if you hit the breaks to hard, it flips.......

After seeing him play with his, I charged both of my batterys and played with mine for about 1/2 hour then right back to the basement where it will stay for another year.....

I used to have a kyosho double dare (4wheel drive and 4 wheel steering)... we wired two batterys to run together and damn did that thing fly....until you went to turn, then pieces went flying everywhere..... $500 worth of garbage!!!!

Luder94 (ermil) like RC cars......

my cousin is a "pro" Gene Hickerson, he races all over the place and he is also a Honda tech here at our store. Those are so fun, gas it the way to go!

Allright! I was beginning to think I was the only one! My girlfriend has been giving me a lot of grief about wanting to get back into the hobby....that is until I remind her that she watches reality tv... then things are put into perspective!

Mindcore,
Nice buggy, how long have you been racing?? I'm guessing I don't even want to know how much you have in it do I?? I want to get more into the racing scene but the few times i've made it down to the local track it seems to be mainly a much younger.. or err stranger crowd...is it the same in Canada??

the only local track we have is a banked oval....it is all electric and they usually run those little sprint cars..... not that exciting..... 1 time per year there is an event at the big "FARM SHOW COMPLEX" which has some offroad RC action... not much fun for the specator though.

do people even put these things together any more? we had to spend what seemed like days on my kyosho (11-12 years ago)...now it seems like everything is RTR.

heh I have enough money in my Hyper 7 to buy 3 Kyosho Inferno Kanai 2's scary..

The local scene here has a handfull of cool guys, the rest are late 30's super geeks, that I just can not relate to..I've seen grown men throw hissy fits because thier 3 times welded tuned pipe got broken.... seriously they pack up thier shit and stomp off like kids did when we were little.

Luckily the scence in Buffalo is happening, and I can go out there most weekends and have some good races.

One of my aquaintences runs for Team Kyosho.. I think he is the lord of the geeks

That aside, It's good competition, the similarity of these things to real cars is scary, suspension set up, toe in/out. it makes the differance between winnng and losing.

The only kick I get out of it is the racing. I have a track at my disposal any time I like, otherwise if I was just going up and down my driveway, I would never start the thing..

I have a Micro RS4 now and have raced 10th scale pan cars, 10th scale off road and 12th scale carpet cars in the past. I am starting to get back into it hard core now and have a Losi Minit-T on the way and after the first of the year I am preapring for the coming season with an RS4 Pro4 or TC3 team (haven't decided yet) and an RC10t4. Also deciding between the T-Maxx and the Associated BFT.

Well there is an 'unofficial' bmx dirt track near my house and it's enjoyable to run the truck out there but sometimes there are some real bozo's out at the 'real' track that has been keeping me somewhat away. I kind of like goofing off with the truck in my backyard (ie chasing my dog etc.) Maybe i'm just going out there at the wrong time as it's mainly just a damn zoo (mostly young kids who like to talk lots of BS) and as you mentioned some older one's as well

Rally, why the t-maxx? It's almost a toy in comparison to the associated truck. While it has lots of top speed on the associated truck it doesn't handle very well and looks to me like a poor performer on the track (completely stock) Did you see the results from the cen mt2? I would buy that truck as it's a monster on the track but a little small for messing around in the back yard.

I just wish they would standardize the classes for some of the monster trucks so there wouldn't be so many discrepancies between monster trucks being produced now.

WOW, I didn't think anyone else liked RC Cars!!!!
I love going to the RC Races even though it may sound corney. I want to get one but not a gas powered one.
I personally enjoy the On-Road cars alot more for some reason......But I really don't know much about Rc Cars, I just think their cool!
Take Care!
