Default is anyone out there financially free ??

just wondering if anyone is "financially free" and how did they/u do it ?
is it just a dream or is it just a advertising by wealth seminar presenters ?

i have read all of robert kiyosaki's books and attended several courses by robert and others but i am still not there yet

any advice ???

Live more conservatively. The real answer, you may not like, but here goes... Sell your S2K, and get something with a smaller note. A civic will have a lower insurance premium, generally speaking. Don't borrow anything; you'll have to pay it back. Don't use the "credit" part of credit cards (pay off the bill every month). Don't eat out. Get a girlfriend who understands your goal of being finacially independant; she'll help out.

I agree with most of what's been said, 'cept for the insurance part, I went from an '01 S2K to an '03 Civic and the differance (monthly) in my insurance was $5. However, my payment did drop from $541 to $309.

Spend less than you earn and invest the difference.

Learn how to invest your money, buy real estate . Few people ever get rich working for someone else. My wife and I sold our stock options before the tech bust. We had set a target price to sell that given the amount of options we each had (working for different companies) would allow to quit working and sustain us for the rest of our lives keeping in mind that she was in her mid twenties and I in my mid thirties.Never looked back . For us work sucked even though it was a fun environment , I always thought that relying on someone for your wages makes you their b_tch. I having a blast playing with my two little boys instead. To quote Arthur "it doesn't suck".

Good luck, just keep the noise down in the morning I sleep in.

I'm still financially dependent to some extent, but am finally on the right path to fixing that. In the next 3 years I should be totally debt free and will have rebuilt much of my nest egg.

Basically, I'm selling off stuff that I've acquired over the years that I don't need, bought a 1992 Miata instead of an S2000 and have streamlined my life to live not just within, but below my means.

Brant - I think if I were able to refrain from drinking booze for a year as you have - I could probably pay off my S2000!!!

The not drinking is helping pay off some of my other debts at the moment.
