apparently you can litterbox train them. and itd only be out of the cage for at most 2 hours a day
yes, you can litterbox train them. I had one that was litterbox trained when I was little, it had a big hutch, and was much easier to keep clean with the litter box in there. If it's not litter box trained, be prepared to have a smelly hutch that will take a bit to clean.

I've known people who let them roam around the house just like cats. You just have to make sure to keep wires out of their way, which can be a HUGE pain, otherwise they'll chew through them.

Good luck!

^^thanks for the advice! i wouldn't want to let it roam the house freely because i'd be too scared that an unsuspecting member of my family might crush it...i want a tiny bunny! oh and my parents are neat freaks so animals free-roaming the house wouldn't work for them.

how odd. the only maintence involved is feeding them, letting them in or out, and changing the litter box.
Depends on the cat. Some are super independent and dont want much to do with you. Others must be within 9 inches of you 24/7. Thats the kind I had.

Had a rabbit when I was younger, quite a lot of fun from what I remember. I used to put him in my RC cars and drive him around the house...wish I had pictures of that.

When my brother and I were younger, we got our parents to get us each a bunny...

Well it turns out one was a male and one a female, about a year later we had 12 bunnies or so. From their little cage, we built this huge outdoor palace for all of them. There were lots of other children in the neighborhood that would come over and play with them, each of them got a free bunny or two after they got their parents to agree and were left with about 3 of them. They eventually all escaped the cage somehow and we were left with none. The one family took 2 or 3 and they eventually had 12 of their own. It was prett funny seeing how our 2 bunny purchase turned into 2 dozen or more of them.

IMO bunnies are cute but they're more of a novelty item than a pet. They don't really have any personality - they just sit there wiggling their noses. Theyll treat their owner with the same trust/distrust that they would show a total stranger. They're more like a stuffed animal that you have to clean up after.

really? in all of my research i've been reading about how tye have great personalities, but it depends on how much time you spend with them and how much effort you put in to their training.
