i had two, when i moved i let them go :[
anyways..they're nice although the moment they bite you and/or scratch you, you will wish you never got the damn bunny

i tried for months to train those damn rabbits to go in a litterbox, but whenever i let them out, walked away for a second, then came back
it was like walking through a field of landmines

try it out..
but id rather just get a female cat...a lot better
and can be around the house..once u train it

When my sister had one, we never even needed to train it. It actually KNEW to go back into the cage to go potty. This is probably a rare case and smarter then usual bunny lol ...

they wont stay tiny and super cute like the picture for long

as with most rodents they will resort from time to time to infanticide/cannibalism

they will reproduce like crazy if you have a male and female

they do smell if not kept clean

they will produce poops (I call them "panic pellets" because they seem to always poop one or more out when scared) at the drop of a hat

Go for it if it is what you want but research the ownership of one before you go and get one....always be as prepared as possible with anything new to you

bunnies are awesome. I used to have some for 4-H. I have this huge bunny, and this tiny tiny one I think it was called a miniature rex. really, small and velvety fur. really cute too. just try and spend as much chill time with them as possible and feed them natural treats as often as possible.

just develop habits as if you were training any other animal and they will be awesome pets. you can even walk them on a leash. its really cute after they get the hang of it

I suspect that what he will end up with is a non-social animal that pretty much stays in a bunny prison cell all day.

really? in all of my research i've been reading about how tye have great personalities, but it depends on how much time you spend with them and how much effort you put in to their training.
I guess you can train them to not kill people while you sleep, but it'll never play fetch, it'll never attack a ball of yarn, it won't lick your face or greet you at the door with it's tail wagging, it won't do any cute "pet" things. They make fine pets for some people but they're a little too impersonal if you expect a lot of interaction with it. When my dog died I felt like I lost a good friend and constant companion - when my rabbit died it was like losing a pet goldfish.

I'm not saying don't get a rabbit, I'm just saying you'll get more of a "relationship" with a dog or cat. That's just my preference in a pet - if I'm going to be feeding and caring for an animal I want him to at least recognize and appreciate me.
