I've been mostly away from this site for a few months while I turned my interests and attention to home theater. I am curious of other fellow S2K owners have also gone down that path.

It was a hell of a lot of work with much to learn. First thing that was able to divert my attention a bit from the S2K!

Anyone take that plunge?

We've been interested for years and will hopefully upgrade next fall. A great source of info may be found at www.audiovideointeriors.com.

What components did you choose? I love the plasma sets but still a little on the high side.

ricosuave:
HDTV...yes

Toshiba TW65 HDTV(ready)...means it will display HDTV, but need a HD receiver. I am waiting on the combo DBS/OTA receiver from Toshiba, Mits or Panasonic. RCA has one, but it does not have componet connectors as the new ones will.

Well, I was going to post about the HT stuff that I have, but after seeing Laird's....ummm, well here goes. My wine rack isn't quite that big, either...

I have a ProScan 30-something inch tv, Denon AVR 3600 5 channel receiver (5 discrete amps, 550 watts total output), Philips DVD player, Sony S-VHS VCR, Klipsch speakers...tall and loud, with center channel and surround-sound speakers. And some other cool stuff, too. Sounds excellent, just wish I didn't live in a condo where I have neighbors to be worried about.

When I get old and rich like Laid, I'll have a built in system like that...looks awesome, can't wait to drop by for a glass of Clos Du Val 97 Cab and a movie on the way to Asheville...!
