Just wondering because I like their music and heard they have a new album coming out pretty soon, called "To The 5 Boroughs". Just wanted to see if anyone still has love for them...

 

 

I'm still a huge Beasties fan and I'm excited for the new album. The first single is only average in my opinion though. It's got a Paul's Boutique (my fav album) type bassline which is very nice, but the vocal is only so-so. It is growing on me though the more I listen to it, maybe just because it's been so long since they've laid something down like that.

I just listened to them the other day. I had forgotten about that song "Girls." I loved that song. They had at least 6 good songs on that CD.

Wow! The maturity level on this board has plumeted...

As for the B-Boys some of thier old stuff (as there hasn't been new stuff in a while) is still great music i.e. timeless.

They did sooo much for alternative music (not alternative as in alternative rock, jsut not mainsteam) that its hard to bad mouth them.
