Anyone Using Zone Alarm Pro?
Now my 'Start Button' doesn't work!! That's the latest in the problems I'm having with s2ki.com when I'm running my Zone Alarm Firewall. If I kill the firewall, everything's fine. Before you ask, I have the firewall set to not mess with forums.s2ki.com. It doesn't help and this is the only site I have trouble with.
Zone Alarm hasn't been able to help. Can you?

Just tried this out on one of my machines and found that if you turn off "Cookie control", "Ad control" and "Mobile code control" the Start button on the site works fine. I didn't dig much further but if you've got any of those turned on in ZoneAlarm Pro you might want to see if you can get them to bypass s2ki.com. The free ZoneAlarm that I have on another machine works fine, so I'm pretty sure it's the cookie/ad control that's the problem.
This is weird! Unable to use 'Start Button.' Stopped ZAP. Still unable to use Start Button. Restarted ZAP. Killed browser (IE 6). Restarted IE. Start Button okay.
Yesterday Start Button would work once I killed ZAP. Only thing changed is XP added a critical update the other day. Still it's weird - I've never been able to use the Post Reply screen to its fullest extent. The only button I can use is 'Insert Photo.' Now the Start Button is failing. I went round and round with the initial problem with Zone Alarm. It never failed to work for them. Only other thing I have is Norton Anti Virus. I've not played around with that yet.
I'm looking to phase out this Dell Dimension and order a Sony Vaio. That'll probably do it.

I'd be wary of things still being in memory, or hooked into other things. I could replicate the issue you described on one machine, I then turned off the Ad, Cookie and Mobile Code blocking, and then all was well. Just killing ZAP may not do it - explicitly turning the options off may help.
I wouldn't blame the hardware straight away - hardware problems tend to exhibit very different symptoms; if you were experiencing random restarts, or lockups when running certain high-stress applications I'd be checking the machine, but not for this.
