Does anybody have AOL Plus? I'm thinking of getting it, but I wanna know if theres any fees besides an additional $20/month on top of aol's membership. I heard you have to buy the software and hardware, which is $150. Is this true???

 

My buddy has it.. he gets about 75k constant upload/download. He didnt pay any start up fees, and its $20 a month. Only thing that sucks is that you have to have the AOL client open the whole time. But just for surfing the net its a hell of a deal.

I think you only have to pay $20 more dollars. Anyway, they have this 1 month trial where you can use it for free so just try them out. I am currently waiting for it to work on my phone line....

AOL is crap.. why people use it is beond me.

I have it. I pay a total of $43 a month. If you ask me, I think it's crap. Has way to many problems. I'm using my 56k right now because the DSL modem AOL sent me broke. I've been waiting for over a week now to get my new modem in the mail. And not only does it have a lot of problems, but compared to other DSL providers, it's really slow.

There are no other fee's or anything, just the $43 a month.
