Anyone thinking about getting Vonage?
To anybody thinking about getting Vonage, you know they offer the first month free... but if you let me know before signing up, I can get you the first month free and a $50 Amex cash card. Lemme know if anyone is interested.
Nope, why pay when I can use Skype for free. Also, fyi - you don't need phone service to have access to 911 - its an FCC requirement that any phone regardless of service be able to contact 911, so just keep a dead phone hooked up, jic.
I'd stick to a free service, or if I needed something I could rely on (say it was for business or I had small children at home and no cell)... Comcast's VOIP solution.... Vonage fills that middle void that I'd wonder why I was paying for it.... personally, I don't know how they'll survive... I'm sure someone else will buy them, which will surely irritate current customers.
Plus we're down to what... 30 some days left (due to appeal) until they cannot use the current infrastructure/technology as defined by the lawsuit brought from Verizon? I'm sure they have all kinds of promotions going right now lol.. in another month they not be able to connect new customers!

I can get you that deal too. I work for them
EDIT: I'm interested though as to how you can get that particular deal. I manage the one call center overseas in the Philippines that is using that particular promotion only as a month long test.
The only people who get it must call in to a certain number using a specialized phone number, plus it's a last resort offered by the sales agent.

I've had Vonage and Voice Pulse. Save your discount and get Voice Pulse.
Much friendlier interface and they actually have real live people that will talk with you and resolve issues.
Vonage probs will take days and usually about 3 contacts. VP will have it working right the first time.
