also, i have a friend that is a senior tax consultant with PWC, been with them for 5 years, before that was with the Australian Tax Office for 2 years. he has his accounting degree, masters of tax, and his chartered accounting accreditation. he lives in sydney with his wife, and he makes about $75k a year. his next promotion will be manager of his dept, and salary there will be about $90k. for that salary, he just gets by in sydney paying for his house repayments, he works about 55 hrs a week.
personally, i never could stomach accounting at uni

This is weird because i also work for Costco, and I have to admit I get paid well for just changing tires but I do not want to just get paid well i want to get paid enough to buy a house. I have been going to school for about a year and half and it is time to decide what the hell I am going to do with my life. Oh and management jobs at Costco only require a degree in BJ's.
My suggestions:
1. Real Estate School (realtor)
2. Medical equipment repairer (particularly radiology equipment)
3. Army/Air National Guard Federal Technician (what I do)
All 3 make good $$ and do not require a 4 year degree.

Don't laugh Fokker, but being a nurse isn't bad either. If you have some basic college classes you can do it in 2 years.
My wife is in nursing classes right now and some of her friends who are graduating are getting offers of $50K+ with no experience(in Chicago). On top of that they get to work 3 12 hour shifts a week and they are done.
