i also think that maybe her time is up; it is your house and chronic violation of any rule seems like blatant disrespect. on the other hand, maybe she doesn't view it like that. if you have befriended this person, then is it plausible that she has just gotten so comfortable with you that she has just become a slacker? i also feel that merely telling her to do this and that every now and then is not an indication of your true displeasure. maybe a talk is in order before you kick her to the curb. let all of your 'issues' with her and her boyfriend be known to her, like you did with us. that way there is no misunderstanding. most definitely talk to her, and then take it from there, but what do i know, i live alone.

 

Give her the boot, not worth the stress/drama. Try and try again until you get a decent roomate, you are probably offering a good deal so it shouldn't be that hard.

The easy way is to make a chart with the chores that need to be done over the week, and stipulate that the penalty for not doing them is, say, $5, meaning you pay her if you don't do yours, and vice versa. That way the house stays clean, you make a little extra cash, and everyone is a little happier. And try to make it clear that if she wants to live with her boyfriend, he has to pay rent and help clean and abide by the rules, as well. And the next boyfriend that she has needs to be approved by you prior to sexual contact, since you are inheriting the guy
