it depends. I doubt that a 4 year university will accept much of your coursework from PTI. So, it will probably be more like 3 years more.

Just go to a 4 year University and forget PTI. One that is accredited. A school like University of Pennsylvania is a good bet.

Decide what you want to do in IT as "IT" is just a catch-all field. Do you want to do support, network administration (this doesn't pay nearly what it used to), security, testing, programming, software design, or hardware design?
