kinda depends were you live. I had at&t in the gulf coast and if I left I10 or any major hwy I would have little to no coverage.

that being said with verizon, reception is alot better but slower compared to my friends iphone when we have full bars.

Just look at the coverage map Verizon shows on their iPhone commercials. It hardly covers anywhere but LA.

I've had the regular Verizon and I now have ATT. Verizon had holes everywhere. Where I live now there isn't any verizon coverage but ATT is wall to wall. And I'm not out in the boonies, I'm on the Western edge of FW.

The whole ATT/Verizon thing is amusing.

None of any of it means anything unless it applies to where you live and work. If you live in a weak ATT coverage area but a strong Verizon area then ATT is going to suck but that doesn't apply universally.

The only thing that is important is that the carrier has good coverage in your area and their network offers the features you need. Everything else is just fanboiism.

there are some interesting responses. att shows full coverage in socal, but the speeds still suck compared to verizon. im just wondering if anyone knows technically why.

Ughhhhhh, I don't know about that.....

P.S. I just tested my phone using the BS program they used in the video, and it was slow as shit. I have never heard of that program, and it's not the standard. Speedtest.net is the standard, and is used by all the major telecom providers, including Verizon, ATT, TimeWarner, and DirectTV. If you want a second opinion, use the FCC app. The App they were using is utter dogshit.
Those pictures are from the official speedtest.net app for iphone.

I know it's different based on where you're located, but around here AT&T is at least 2X faster than verizon. I have a verizon mifi and an iphone4.

This. But I admit, I am a bit biased to T-Mobile.

"theoretical figures" don't matter in my book... Actual figures do.
When we are speaking about actual figures, my statement is 100% true, thank you.
Tons of people pulling 8+mbps on T-Mobile 4G.. some even higher.
