I like to chew gum. Next time the flavor runs out I'm just going to chuck it at the car behind me!!! Or I like to eat apples im just gonna toss the core next time im done eating one.
Come on people have some common courtesy for the people around you and the environment.
Keep your damn cigarettes in your car.
I actually got pelted by three half burnt cigarettes out of the same vehicle. I proceeded to give them a verbal chewing out at 70 MPH. It was an SUV full of teens including driver.
I think smoking is stupid, but I dont care when you do it or where you do it just don't chuck your butts out of your vehicle. If you dont want your car to smell like smoke then quit smoking!!!!!

I know someone who threw a lit cigarette butt on the ground on base here, in front of a military police officer.. I can guarantee they won't do it again, since they recieved a $900.00 dollar ticket for doing it..

Yep, you simply don't mess around on military property.
Maybe you non smokers should gather us up, and ship us off to an island somewhere, just like the lepers.
Sad that it has to come to that, but I guess smokers in the world are just not worthy of living in your society anymore.

Mindcore
Lets not be melodramatic. No one is suggesting that smokers are unworthy or lepers, we just feel that;
1. Smoking is a dangerous, often deadly, addiction that people would be better off not being involved in.
2. Smoke if you so choose, just don't impose the smoke, butts, and other aspects of this habit on us.

Hmm...
I'm a former-smoker (notoriously the worst non-smokers). However, in the intervening years, I've learned to hate the smell. Like Sondra, I lost a close relative (my favorite uncle) to a smoking-related illness. Like her, I've learned to hate the habit.
I don't, however, hate the smoker. One of my employees is a smoker, and is by far the most considerate person I work with. He is cautious to always be down-wind of non-smokers when we're outside (no-smoking inside), and he does his best to minimize the impact his habit has on the rest of the team (who are non-smokers). He wouldn't dream of tossing his butts out the window, or on the sidewalk, or smoke in my car without asking first (he did, I said "no," and that was that).
He's a very intelligent guy, who happens to have picked up a habit that he knows is not healthy. By the same token, I know my eating habits aren't the best, and will no doubt cause me problems later in life if I don't work out regularly and keep it in check. Do my eating habits affect those around me? They don't now... but when I was 50 lbs heavier, I'm sure they affected people sitting next to me in an airline seat!
My uncle was one of the smartest men I've ever known, and in my eyes, he was perfect. There was nothing he couldn't fix, he knew a great deal about a variety of subjects, and he drove a beautiful '57 Chevy Bel Air. He picked up smoking in the military, and no matter what, wasn't able to let go of it. For years after his death, I was angry at him for not quitting. Over time, I let go of the anger, and just missed him. I'm not mad at the tobacco companies. I'm not mad at my uncle. I'm not mad at the military or USO for giving him free cigarettes when he was in the field. I just miss him.
Now, with all that said, I think it's highly inconsiderate of anyone to throw a burning object out the window of their vehicle, potentially hitting another car, starting a roadside brush fire, or just littering the wasteland with more trash. It's just as inconsiderate to toss a McDonald's wrapper or a Starbucks cup out, though there's probably less potential for serious damage to another vehicle or the environment.
In short:
ATTN: Drivers, Don't be a jackass!

P.S. Mindcore, I thought your first post was quite funny. I got it, even if the other non-smokers didn't.
